Acryllic Paint and Gesso on Hot Glue and Paper Mache
16.5"x 11"x 15.5"
During my gap year I started missing the fun of working on a major art project, so I took on this sculpture. I started out gluing pieces of cardboard together and then let the project evolve on its own with little direction. I used only materials I could find or scavenge from things I found around the house to create a whimsical and colorful skull mask. I call it a chimeran skull because I mixed together elements from multiple animals to make it, including pronghorn, deer, cow, and dog.
